FAQ:

  • The $15 supply fee covers all supplies used by your child during their time at camp.

For example, each student in 2022’s Creative Creatures camp used over $40 in supplies! Paying for a small portion of this cost helps us keep the daily cost of camp low for you and other students.

  • At the Red River Valley Museum in the Wright Art Gallery! We are located on the Vernon College campus next to the softball field. Our street address is 4600 College Drive, Vernon, TX 76384

  • All artwork will remain on display in the classroom until Friday of each week. This allows us to host a mini art show for campers and parents!

If your child will not be attending each day of camp, you are welcome to take home all art on whatever their final day may be.

  • All campers are welcome to bring snacks for themselves that do not require refrigeration. Please label all personal items with your child’s first and last name.

You do not need to send any art supplies with your child. The museum provides all needed supplies.

  • • Full refund = cancellation made more than four weeks prior to the first day of camp

    • 50% refund = cancellation made 2–4 weeks prior to the first day of the registered camp

    • No refund = cancellation made less than 2 weeks prior to the first day of the registered camp

    • If a camp is canceled by the museum, a full refund will be issued and individuals will be contacted directly.

    • Camps are non-transferable.

  • We understand the need for children to stay in contact with their caregivers. Mobile phones may be brought to camp, but must remain in a camper’s backpack during the day. We ask that campers do not bring iPads/tablets to camp. A camper may use a mobile device to contact a parent/caregiver as needed and before or after class has begun.

  • Art can be messy! Please dress your camper in clothes that they can get paint or other materials on. We have a limited number of aprons available for campers to use as well.

  • Our studio spaces are equipped with small first aid kits for treating minor injuries such as scrapes, cuts, and bruises. If your child becomes ill or has an accident that requires a doctor’s attention, we will contact your designated emergency contact immediately. Please let museum staff know if your child has any medical issues or allergies we should be aware of. Camp staff cannot administer medications to campers. Please make sure your child takes any necessary medication before or after camp or is able to take it themselves.

  • If your child has a severe allergy that may require an EpiPen, please send one with your camper on the first day of camp in a plastic bag labeled with your child’s first and last name and an emergency phone number. This EpiPen will need to stay at the Museum until the last day of camp, at which time it will be returned to you. In the event that we use an EpiPen for your child, you will be contacted immediately.

  • Drop-off and pick-up for all camps will occur at the museum entrance. Please park and escort your child inside to sign in at the front desk. When picking up your child, please enter the museum and make your way to the art gallery to sign out your child.

  • Please call camp staff at 940-553-1848 as soon as you know of the change. We will make every effort to accommodate your situation.

  • Campers will only be released to an authorized adult. An authorized adult name and phone number are required when you register your child for camp. If you need to add anyone to the Authorized Adult list, please let a staff member know when dropping off your child.

  • We want your child to be happy and safe! If you would like to see the studio spaces where camp takes place and meet the museum staff, please call us at 940-553-1848 or email cooper@rrvmuseum.org to arrange a time at least one week in advance of your registered camp.
